Harold Rapp III comes together again with friend and super producer, James Roberson, to work with multi-instrumentalist great and mentor, Gerald Albright, to produce a song so funky that you may want to slap your momma!!! Who said that instrumentalists can't be funky? This song mixes funky bass lines with the chest-thumping kicks of the drums and the vocal swings of the sax that Harold masterfully brings like an artist in the zone.
This isn't the first time Harold has worked with someone with the last name "Albright". Harold also worked with Selina Albright, the daughter of his mentor, multi-instrumentalist, Gerald Albright. He considers it an honor that the Albrights have a high regard for his talent as an artist and are helpful in his quest into moving forward as a multi-national artist.
"Funk It Up" is just a culmination of what you can get when you pay homage to those who have paved the way for you and also push to blur the genre lines. This ain't your momma's jazz!!!
