Angelo V - Medusa

Born and raised in London town, deep in the hustle and bustle of city life,
Angelo V emerged as a Singer/songwriter/guitarist whose music is an
eclectic mix of reggae hooks, rocky grooves and soulful melodies.
Angelo started playing the violin at 9 years old before substituting his
bow for his guitar at age 15. With a love of the piano his own raw sound
began to emerge. After a decade down south in Devon, his music
evolved into what it is today, with that touch of hippy soul
His debut single Medusa was released with the Trio this summer after making their festival debut at the Live Expressions Festival in Tunbridge Wells last summer.

Medusa is an exquisite tale of seduction, told from the point of view of the seducee all the while trying to resist her charms. Parallels are drawn to the obvious mythical creature that is said have had snakes for hair and had the power to turn anyone to stone with one gaze. There is an ironic resistance however, the seducee is trying to resist but finding that they are actually enjoying the powerless and powerful feeling of seduction. “Medusa was written about an electric personality that you see working the room where they have that charismatic energy that knocks you for six to the point where when you eventually talk to them you’re reduced to this bumbling mess or even worse, you freeze hence the ‘I turn to stone when she is near’ part. That pulsing bass is the audio representation of the seduction of Medusa. I hope the passion is felt in the short time you have to listen and that she guides you through the summer”.
